Tempted to keep this resort a secret !

The week we spent at the Lakaz Chamarel was part of the best holiday we have ever had. This resort packed with flora and fauna made our stay extra special and we enjoyed spending time in the Sunset Bar watching the parakeets and flying foxes roosting at dusk whilst sampling the cocktails served by the friendly staff. Having managed to climb to the top of Piton Canot ( I didn’t realise it was so steep ! ) I made the most of a relaxing massage treatment at the spa. Our Seaview villa was very comfortable, having the lovely views meant we got plenty of exercise every day walking back so didn’t need to use the gym with a view. Every member of staff went out of their way to make our stay unique in every way including our fantastic driver Allan who took us around all the best sights in the south of the island. Top marks to Peggy and her fabulous hardworking and thoughtful staff and thank you for remembering “no cheese”.

Amazing accommodation, location and setting on Mauritius, owners have put alot of effort into the grounds and it really shows. The stay has been made extra special by the staff, who have been amazing from arrival and made us feel very welcome and very well looked after. A special mention to Hansley the bartender, who put in alot of effort to make us comfortable and keep out drinks filled (also making the best Pina colado I have ever had) and Piper who passed me walking to the shop and kindly gave me a lift there and back. Couldn't recommend high enough, not often the highlight of our trip is the hotel - we will be back!

Simply outstanding. From arriving early morning following a 12 hour flight you immediately feel relaxed. The setting is breathtaking, the people friendly, fun and the service outstanding. I am writing this sitting in one of the best 5* resorts that we transferred to from Lakaz Chamarel and we talk everyday about how much we miss being there. We will be back!
